Inspired by the feelings of nostalgia and joy evoked by the memories of the bygone, forgotten playgrounds of our childhood, in the safe space of a theatre we create a new playground, Playground 22, which aims to capture the transience of time and pay tribute to encounter and play. Using personal and collective memories of playgrounds, we explore the contrast between the empty and the full, and the feeling of belonging versus the feeling of alienation. In the crisis of theatre due to the rising popularity of other media and fast content consuming, we seek to slow down, focus our attention and offer the viewers an opportunity to focus their attention on one content. With this project we want to return to the “factory settings”, using only two elements – dance and sound.

Jovana Zelenović was born in Belgrade in 1996. She started her training in different sports, music and dance as a little girl. In 2011 she enrolled the Lujo Davičo Ballet School and during her secondary school education in contemporary dance became a member of the BITEF DANCE company. In 2015 she got a scholarship for the SEAD Academy in Salzburg, where she had the opportunity to study and work with numerous renowned dance artists. After graduating from the academy in 2019, she became a member of the Zagreb Dance Company (ZPA), where she performed in Up/Up by Ferenc Feher, The Eye from the Surface by Aleksandra Mišić, Revel Revel by Roser Lopez Espinosa and The Frame by Borna Babić. In 2022 she continued her career as an independent dance artist in Croatia and abroad, and that same year she received the UPPU PULS and UPUH professional award for the most promising young artist in Croatia.
