WAITING FOR JAMES B. is a call for the liberation of bodies and souls, through the intense pleasure of dancing.
The artists' imagination unfolds, both in the aisles, among the audience and on the stage, thus crossing borders between a frenetic show and an elaborate choreographic writing. The theatre appears to us as the traditional “black box”, where the audience and the stage are facing each other, and at the same time as a new space where artists meet the public for a celebration of life. United in dance, they are all then carried away by the energy of the euphoric swing.
Founded in Bastia in 1999 by the choreographer Hélène Taddei Lawson, Art Mouv is active on Corsica, on the continent and internationally. Through its interesting projects marked by a multidisciplinary approach and the search for new forms of expression, this ensemble constantly experiments around important themes such as identity, environment, discrimination and compartmentalization.
Hélène Taddei Lawson is a choreographer and a dancer who has developed a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary and urban dance, sound design, voice and video. She creates choreographic pieces, site-specific performance as museums, public space happening, dance videos and movies, artistic installations.
