The title of this show refers to excessive selling, buying and consuming. The motives of supply, demand and consumer addiction are ironically twisted, bringing to the attention the dancer's restless body which is always in search of the ideal spectator, always obsessed with the desire to be liked, always exposed and assessed. Choreographic structure mirrors the patterns of a consumer society, inserted in the form of documentary, intimate statements of the dancers themselves. Thus the choreography does not lecture on consumerism, or criticize it as something shallow and frivolous, but shows how modern society creates consumer addiction and the effects it has on society in general.

Dance Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb was established in 2013 as the only department in Croatia which offers a university degree in dance. With its seven theater and film departments, the Academy is an ideal environment for young dancers, since it encourages interdisciplinary studies, creative co-operations and networking. It supports one of the main Department goals – to offer its students of ballet pedagogy and contemporary dance an opportunity to work with the top Croatian and foreign experts in dance and other relevant fields, keeping their education up to date with the most recent artistic and pedagogical practices in Europe. Within the course entitled Repertoary Workshop, associate professor Ksenija Zec and assistant professor Petra Hrašćanec asked from their first year student to reconstruct SALE, dance performance of Contemporary Dance Studio, choreographed by Ksenija Zec and premiered in 2009.
