Francisco Córdova Azuela - Body-Action / Movement-Relation
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Body-Action / Movement-Relation is a training programme based on the construction of physical actions. It encourages participants to move through a common language and not through dance codes. It breaks down and decodes established and predetermined dance languages. The workshop is a representation of control and physical intuition. Its purpose is to cause states: physical, mental and even emotional, all through physicality. It guides the participant to find the truth in his body and to contact with his own way of moving, assuming information through the will of intuition. The class is about experiential knowledge.
BIO: Francisco Córdova is a performer, choreographer and teacher. He has the Master degree in theatre studies by the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona). He has studied in Montreal and New York. He has a degree in Contemporary Dance by the Escuela Nacional de Danza (Mexico). He is now the director of company Physical Momentum Project and the director of the training programme Técnicas de Movimiento in Mexico and Barcelona. He has been developing his methodological proposal since 2006, teaching several workshops in Europe and Latin America. He is cited as one of the precursors of new trends and ruptures of the scenic performer training.
