PLEDGING FOOT, choreographed by Eléonore Valère Lachky, is based on the physical power and virtuosity of each dancer. The piece celebrates movement as a challenge and incorporates it in complex temporal and spatial structures. This is a dance piece of extremely high energy and optimism, in which the dancer's body enjoys and celebrates itself as the main means of expression that uncompromisingly masters a very complicated spatial syntax, giving it the so-called semantic part in every aspect, offering the audience a concrete meaning and inspiring curiosity. Two complementary systems stand out – speed and stability – and they are both present at the same time, helping each other. While working on this show, we focused on improving the skills of dancers in both directions as much as possible. The project was built on physical dance phrases that lead to a powerful kinetic experience during performance. The purpose of all these processes is to evoke creativity and imagination in dancers, in order to make their dance original and completely personal.
ELÉONORE VALÈRE LACHKY was born in 1979. She studied at P.A.R.T.S. LIBERDANCE was founded in 1979 by Rajko Pavlić, who is also its artistic director. Two components prevail in the work of the company: dance/educational and artistic/creative. Since the beginning, the Company has been committed to education, and its staff has taught a great number of dancers seeking professional recognition.
