MANIPULAR, interactive installation

MANIPULAR system permits to play music just using floating hands, starting from the relationship between "real hands" and "hands on software". The goal is to manipulate a realtime interaction using hands as "input device", giving the chance to play music with free hands, floating in the air, without any glow or sticked sensor.
A special instrument, producing video and music, experimenting new ways to human-machine interaction.
The mix of custom software applications, infrared techniques and motion capture algorithms, creates an endless combination of scenery, which can be used and manipulated realtime by multiple users at once, creating audio and related 3D video rendering. To experiment, to dance, for fun, to play your hands.
