"up to 70cm" is a dance production of Commedia Futurea, choreographed by Felix Landerer and premiered at Eisfabrik, Hannover. It deals with the issue of distance and closeness. How much space does a person require? How much closeness can we deal with? And how do we recognize the limitations of our own personal space and those of the others?
The choreography is about the undefined personal borders and culturally determined intimacies - their respecting, their expanding, their breaching. It`s about the balance between too much closeness and too much personal freedom. "up to 70cm" is a piece that deals with the difficulties and behaviors that these issues can provoke and the differences in the preception of space.
