...if you stand before the splendour of the Amazon you have the impression that the last stage of the creation of life has yet to be completed. The Brazilian rainforest was the starting point for this work because I felt that it refers to everything that sur- rounds us and helps us to explain who we are. In many ways this work for me is an homage to nature and its myster- ies. I use the body to translate these inde- scribable sensations and important hidden messages.

AEQUUS (even balance) examines the concepts of creation, destruction and transformation. Five dancers rediscover the energy, rhythm and cycles of nature in an enig- matic fusion of live music with sensuous movement in a mesmerizing display of raw physicality and explosive strength.
