The Language of Walls is a piece for seven female dancers and a one- man band, about sisterhood and personal liberation. Between worn- out wallpaper, bar stools and tables, the dancers perform a powerful jour- ney at the electro-acoustic music of Elad Cohen, exploring the female expression through dance. Moving between despair and order and try- ing to catch the intoxicating energy of life, the performers reach far be- yond their limits as artists, beyond the acquired shame and beyond the judgment of the society.
(Guy Weizman and Roni Haver).
The Language of Walls is a witty, coordinated performance, full of catch- ing, animating dance energy, and this impression is primarily achieved by the great enthusiasm and excellent interpretation of the dancers. Dealing with some typically female principles, Haver and Weizman spe- ak about jealousy, envy, vulnerability, fitting of an individual into the social events, about the feeling of being limited, and they do it in an attractive and convincing way which enables each dancer to show her individuality and her own artistic sensibility.
