La compagnia dell'Astronauta is one of the most original formations of street performing in Italy, living and travelling as a unique expression between circus and theatre. A constant research of movement, circus techniques and acting methods produces performances, fascination and poetry. The performance is highly lightened by skills like acrobatics, tightrope, juggling and music, which are not presented as separate numbers, but are integrated in the life of the characters on the stage. Accidents, incredible stupidness and heroic dedication will help the audience get to know the secret life of a once famous opera singer and her servant.

The life of Andreas Hecker and Silvia Poggianti as actors started years ago, with formation and training mostly oriented on street performing, thus enabling an easy and direct approach and communication with the audience all over the world. The company has the knowledge of tai chi chuan and qui gong techniques, they are musically educated and trained as actors and acrobats. The experience they have is based on numerous performances all over Europe, mostly in Italy, Germany, France and Spain. Andreas Hecker took part in the performances held in Mexico and Palestine, for the support of the people and children in conflict areas.
